Philip W. Marsh

Partner



Philip Marsh joined Agility IP Law in September 2011 as a partner. Mr. Marsh comes to Agility with more than thirteen years of intellectual property experience, including high-stakes patent litigation experience across a variety of technologies, such as computer hardware and software, semiconductor fabrication and devices, wireless telecommunications, optical computer storage media, solid-state memory devices, fiber optics, lasers, and optical amplifiers. In addition to patent litigation experience, Mr. Marsh has significant prior experience preparing and prosecuting patent applications directed to electrical, computer, and mechanical inventions, as well as advising clients regarding strategic patent portfolio analysis and development. He also has experience litigating trade secret, copyright, and trademark issues.

Before Joining Agility, Mr. Marsh was an associate at Skadden, Arps, Slate, Meagher & Flom as well as at Cooley Godward. He also worked his way through law school as a patent agent at Cooley Godward and Burns, Doane, Swecker & Mathis. Before attending law school, Mr. Marsh worked as a patent examiner at the U.S. Patent and Trademark Office, examining patents directed to business methods.
