Jim Otteson represented Conner as a counterclaimant in a patent infringement action involving 18 computer disk drive patents, including U.S. Patent Nos. 4,218,742; 4,494,234; 4,706,250; 4,068,269; 4,103,314; 4,535,371; 5,210,660; 4,167,765; 4,760,478; 4,448,189 and 4,486,797 (defensive) and U.S. Patent Nos. 4,829,395; 4,933,785; 4,965,684; 4,979,055; 4,979,056; 5,025,336 and 5,121,262 (offensive). Mr. Otteson led the counterclaim team responsible for asserting the '395, '684 and '336 patents against IBM. After the filing of an ITC complaint on a newly issued Conner patent, the case settled on terms that were very favorable for Conner.
