Illumina, Inc. v. Affymetrix, Inc.

Mr. Carmack represented Affymetrix, a pioneer in the field of nucleic acid microarrays, in a patent infringement action brought by Illumina. Mr. Carmack served as the lead associate and was involved in all aspects of the case, including technical analysis, fact and expert discovery and a unique inventorship defense. He was also integral to Affymetrix's successful motion for summary judgment, which disposed of all asserted claims of infringement. The case is now on appeal.
